You can be guaranteed of no harmful vapours when using for your home fireplace, BBQ, campfire or log burner.
Each firelighter is 100% sustainable as they are made from the remnants of our natural beeswax food wraps. Made with all natural ingredients including 100% cotton, pure NZ beeswax from our own sustainably managed hives, tree resin and a mixture of oils, they will burn for approximately 15 minutes each, releasing no harmful chemicals, smell or toxins into the air.
They are so natural they can be stored next to food!
Quick and easy to light, they are long burning, so you can start a fire quickly, even without kindling or with damp wood.
Our 15 pack comes in an easy to store, drawstring natural bag, and our larger quantities will be supplied in cardboard boxes.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How do I light them? Lift our ready made fabric wick and place amongst your fire or kindling. Light the wick only when in place (do no light the firelighter when holding it)
How long will they burn? Our firelighters will burn for approximately 15 minutes each which is sufficient time to get a good fire started.
Are they safe? Our firelighters are completely natural so will not release any toxic or harmful vapours. They are so natural they can be stored next to food on camping trips.
Are they sustainable? They are completely sustainable as they are made by hand from the offcuts of our natural beeswax food wraps.
Are they waterproof? Yes - due to the beeswax coating our firelighters can be dropped in water and still be set alight - perfect for your camping trips or emergency kits.
Safety Information:
Do not store firelighters near your fire - the wax can melt and spoil surfaces, and sparks can cause the firelighters to catch alight if not monitored.
Do not light a firelighter whilst holding. Place on a level surface to light.
Please make sure all fires are lit safely, in safe locations and are properly contained and monitored. Make sure you safely extinguish all fires. Please adhere to your local seasonal fire restrictions.

With a total of 1200 hives and countless busy bees, our team of 6 beekeepers are kept busy working with the bees to turn all their hard work into wonderful products to benefit everyone. Using the beeswax from our hives for pure beeswax candles and amazing beeswax wraps and bottling the delicious honey.
